She woke up one rainy morning in January of 2007, with an idea for a story. She took on the challenge to write that story and the many more that followed. Patricia has since learned a great deal about self-publishing and promoting her brand.
Patricia started her writing career with chapter books in mind. But quickly realised, as her writing experience grew, she could do more. And thanks to some great feedback from her pre-school audiences, she can now add these fantastic stories to her list.
"I received a message from an old school friend. It was a snapshot of some text titled 'DARLING', in a book, with my name at the bottom. It wasn't until I took a closer look, that I realised it was a short piece I wrote in my third year of secondary school. I may not have noticed it then, but it appeared my writing instincts were there all along!" She said.
"It was during one of my engagements in the library, reading 'Pink And The Hair Thief' to primary school children that the idea came to me to explore scriptwriting. The thought moved me to write an animation screenplay, a play script for theatre and a children's playscript piece to use in schools." said Patricia.
